If you haven’t read my other post about Microsoft copying the Ubuntu logo, go read it. Because I’ve recently discovered that their website reads:
“Microsoft is a registered trademark of Microsoft Corporation in the United States and or other countries. Microsoft Alumni Network is not affiliated with Microsoft Corporation.”
Notice that they say Microsoft Alumni Network is not affiliated with Microsoft Corporation, then why they even bother to put Microsoft in their name? To confuse people that Microsoft ’stole’ the logo?
Even a user on digg posted that the universal binary logo:
is much like what Microsoft copied:
We know that sometimes Microsoft copies things (logos), and even though Microsoft Alumni Network is not affiliated with Microsoft Corporation, people tend to think it’s Microsoft’s fault. It’s not. And don’t get me started talking about Microsoft. At last, -no, this blog is not affiliated with Microsoft Corporation, and I am still planning to switch to a Mac.
Remember my post about Microsoft’s photosynth?
Well, they showed more features this time in TED global, and it looks great. Here’s a video of them at TED.
Can anything be good from Russian? There was is still the spambots from Russian coming and attacking our servers everyday, and now if you want some money from the ATM, Windows asks you to activate it!
Someone called “Cyb3rT” has defaced a Microsoft’s web page – not the main one, but anyway. If you’re fast you’ll see it. In case it’s fixed, a capture can be found at http://noscript.net/images/ms-ieak-defaced.jpg. Not good news for the company that claims to be the first software company of the world.
Good job Mircosoft, who put millons of dollars into ads in China, don’t believe me?
And they only sold 244 copies of Genuine Windows Vista and the rest… sold $1 on streets. Great deal (not to mention that you can still update with it).
