Rumor has it that Youtube will lunch in France on June 19th. This rumor comes via the newspaper Les Echos as well as Agence France-Press (AFP), who says France Televisions told them they’re in talks with Google about sharing their TV programs on YouTube. Additionally, France could be a test market for later country by country localization.
“I guess we’ll know more on Tuesday. Google is keeping their lips sealed and handed out the usual “we do not comment on market rumor or speculation” to AFP” - Google Blogoscoped
Possible domains:
YouTube.fr, YouTube.de, YouTube.co.uk, YouTube.pl
From another source, the youtube.de (the German Top Level Domain) was bought by Google. Orginally, youtube.de was registered to a German guy running a video website.
“According to German Online Magazin heise.de, the Domain is now transfered to YouTube Inc. in San Mateo. Both parties agree not to talk about any details. “
At the moment the Domain is pointing to a transfer page of German Nic Services Denic.
The big question is: Will we be seeing Youtube in every country from now on?

Today, Google has announced their new version of Google Analytics’ reporting interface. All the old users will automatically be transfered to the new version. However, users can still access the old interface if they want to.
I have to say, the new version is much better and finally, I can zoom the map and see where are the people from. The graphs have also gotten bigger and easier to see. This new interface is very web2.0-ish.

*What is new?* In the new version, your reports have been
redesigned for clarity, greater visibility of important metrics,
and ease of use. Here are just a few of the features you’ll
notice:
- Email and export reports: Schedule or send ad-hoc
personalized report emails and export reports in PDF format.
- Custom Dashboard: No more digging through reports. Put all
the information you need on a custom dashboard that you can
email to others.
- Trend and Over-time Graph: Compare time periods and select
date ranges without losing sight of long term trends.
- Contextual help tips: Context sensitive Help and Conversion
University tips are available from every report.

When you search “she invented” google will correct your spelling and say Did you mean “he invented”?

What with this? I guess too many “he” invented instead of “she”.

Yes, iGoogle, the ’successor’ of Google IG or Google personalized homepage. Located on the web at igoogle.com, the new personalized homepage now offers backgrounds provided by google. I know the google.com/ig already got this a long time ago, however, goog.ca/ig, the Canadian version, just got this background on. One of the weird thing is that Google never promoted massively about this iGoogle. Wait, isn’t iSomething, such as iCal, iPhone, iPod, used after the Mac apps??

So I think the title is pretty self explainatory. As many people know about the Google online office suit, they are coming out with the “PowerPoint” and finally finishing the suit. Google has acquired Tonic Systems, a San Francisco-based company that provides Java presentation automation products and solutions for document management, especially to power their presentation app. The launch of this Google “PowerPoint” is aimed at the summer of 07.
So people will argue that this may be a thread to the MS Office suit. Well, trust me, it is not and I don’t see companies starting to jump to the online web apps right away. MS Excel is way more powerful than the Google spreadsheet and for now, I only see Google aiming for the simplicity and portability.
Quote from their blog:
“…We’ll soon be welcoming a new addition to the Google Docs & Spreadsheets family: presentations…”

A picture of what we have now.

Google has acquired DoubleClick for $3.1 billion, the huge online ads displaying company. Microsoft was in this bidding war against Google and Google finally got the company, and most importantly, its customers and users. The NewYork Times reported that DoubleClick’s yearly revenue is around $300 million. Google sure is going the advertising way with their adsense and now this.
